Re: The Shoe Polish
To all members:
I have a much improved Shinola label if you need it. It is 100% show correct and I have two versions of it. One is like new and the other is aged.
PM me if you need it.

Re: The Shoe Polish
Hey, I just scored what I think is the correct Shinola bottle from Ebay. It looks like the right shape and is brown polish, but I'm not sure about the label. I'll let you know when I get it.

Re: The Shoe Polish
Yes, very impressive. All you have to do is put on one of the founders very well crafted labels and you will have the first 100% paulian shoe polish bottles. If it bothers you altering this antique bottle, just tape the new label over the old one and have the tape join around the back. That way you can have the look and not be damaging a piece of antiquity.

Randy,
How did you find that? I've been looking for that bottle since day 1.

Re: The Shoe Polish
To see the listing, go to Google product search and type in “shinola bottle”. I can’t tell how long it was listed, but Randy was the third person to look at it. He obviously beat everyone else to the punch. It was just a matter of being at the right place at the right time to snatch up a rare item. The appearance of the bottle was a statistical anomaly and Randy finding it was a combination of diligence and timing. There was nothing unusual about the search criteria.
