I wonder if that land lot is for sale, someone could buy it and rebuild the motel on the exact spot.

I would wager that it is available; or land in the very near vicinity is available.
If I were to rebuild the Motel, I would want to rebuild it on old Route 666 north of Gallup. I strongly suspect that an area north of Gallup with the proper look could be found. Anyone want to go into the Hospitality business?

Here is a vacant lot just N of Gallup on Route 491 (old 666).
This should do nicely. Quick, someone get the number of a Realtor in the area. Does anyone have a million or two they haven’t earmarked for Christmas gifts?

I always thought that the Event took a few seconds to occur, and the time frozen in the watches was when it culminated into the unplucking of Eddie and the creation of the objects. My theory is that, at that time, the wind was blowing ever so slightly outside, and everything that happens is what happened those few seconds the Event took, and then that scene loops back into itself, infinitely.
Basically, it is impossible to go outside, all you see is the light that carried the image of the outside through the window in those few seconds. If you stare out the window long enough, you would notice the bushes all move the exact same way over and over and over again.
