Was Ruby aware of the objects BEFORE the events of the movie?
I'm a little . Was Ruby already aware of the objects and attempting to join the order BEFORE joe gets involved? Kinda seemed like it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Was Ruby aware of the objects BEFORE the events of the movie?
First of all, welcome to our forum LostLady.
Here's the sequence as I read it. Ruber investigates the killings at the pawn shop and becomes intrigued with how they were killed. He finds some similar cases and notes that in one, the victim had swallowed a motel key. He then notices that one of the items listed in Iggy's personal effects was a motel key and begins to suspect there's a connection.
When his assistant calls to tell him she's found a similar burn victim who is still alive, Milton Vrang, he's already very curious and Vrang's story starts him on the path to his obsession. He tells him about the Order and the Objects.

Re: Was Ruby aware of the objects BEFORE the events of the movie?
Im currently watcing the Dvds again. I do not know who I despise more:
The Weasel for threatening the life of Miller's girl or
Ruby for killing Miller's partner.
I know Im only venting frustration and fantasizing but my responses would have been:
With the Weasel, I wouild have done an Indiana Jones and taken a headshot since I was already weapons drawn pointed at him.
As for Ruby, I would have taken him to the room and reset it with him inside.

The father's interaction with Weasel was almost playful during their last interaction despite the fact that the weasel had kidnapped his child.

Re: Was Ruby aware of the objects BEFORE the events of the movie?
In the DVD bonus features, Peter Krause mentioned he often joked about his relations with some of the other characters as being like Bud Abbot to Lou Costello. (Remember when he asked Anna what movie she wanted to watch he was trying for Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein?)
In the case of the Weasel, I think that started out with Joe ready to kill him but he knew he needed him to find her so he just slapped him around, humiliated him and then dropped him in Kreutzfeld's hands.
