I think they used the 100 for the show but did not know it was from 1963, the case is definately pre 1961. I apologize for the broken pic links, PhotoBucket is trying to make me pay to open my links that once were free - screw them ! It’s been years since I’ve posted and even though I see a lot of the links to images are broken I’m really happy to see some survive! I’m here because this week on my AppleTV I discovered a new channel called “tubi” and they have TLR in their catalogue. I started watching again and got the itch to collect a new object. I only have the bus ticket (which I replicated and posted for download) and the key fob with 2 separate keys I’ve yet to attempt to cut and reattach. I’m a photographer so I’m looking for the camera. Is there a definitive answer to which model is our hero model? I read the thread and see that the case is from a different model so does anyone have the best guess at camera model and colour and case model? I’m hoping someone is still roaming the board! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Maus)Tue, 16 Jul 2019 23:26:27 +0000 Re: The Polaroid Camerahttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15015,from=rss#post15015https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15015,from=rss#post15015a camera for those who are snappy: Once again...good luck !! Jess's pic: and The Model 100: Model 101: But these cameras were made AFTER 1963 !!??!! so time-wise these could not be right...but it is the camera seen in the case...... we have a conundrum here !! the model 80 series fits the case and fits the timeline.... the model 100 or 101 IS in the camera case..but made two years after the event.... The model 95 is seen on the Order shrine and fits the timeline...but does NOT fit into the correct case.... Oh what on earth to do !! do we each own three cameras to have the right one ?? or do we go with the model 100 & 101 because it is what is in the case ??? I did a check of the 80 series on ebay using "80A camera" and "polaroid highlander" in the search bar and came up with more correct cases w/ the camera included. it seems they all come in that color scheme.....I did a search of the J33 camera and not even 1 came in the correct case. The J33 ran from 1961 to 1963 with a production of approx. 280,000 - 350,000 sold at a cost of $74.95 ea. The 80 series ran from 1954 - 1961 and they churned out approx. 1.6 million sold at a cost of $72.75 ea. It would seem more and more that the 80 series is the probable choice. The Model 95A and 95B are the Speedliner Series. The show correct case came fitted for specifcally Highlander versions only so that says alot ! we will have to compare all the models and variations w/ pics but that narrows it down by a considerable margin....just by that definition I favor the 80 series as being the logical choice. The camera that came with the correct case I got is a Model 80A in a light tan/cream color.... I would like to see other color variations. I think you have a pretty good argument that the camera is an 80 (A/B). When I get a chance, I will update the article to include pictures of the 80’s and the argument for them.
