Wild theory
Of course this is just wild speculation, but if you take the rules of the room literally, it should be this way.
Well, it is known that every single object in the room at the time of the event is an obect. Every single unitary particle of dust and microbia must be then an individual object, leaving us with millions, if not billions, of tiny, and microscopic, objects with strange properties.
And many of them Eddie carries out of the room when he first leaves it...
And so do all the people that enter the room and also leaves...
LOL, the world would be soon destroyed by the odd/bizarre properties of lethal specs of dust that are carried by the wind and are capable of, say, freezing water in a 20 feet radius, or of an immortal bacteria that can, perhaps, neutralize electrict current in its proximity.
Just a silly idea.

Re: Wild theory
Well, thank you, but it is kind of silly in the sense that it would ruin the whole idea, as those millions of tiny objects would wreck havoc throughout the world (at least in a span of 60 years, I'm pretty sure they would).
But it would be funny to think of an apocalyptic world devastated by un unnacounted number of killer particles!
There would be dust collectors/hunters searching for the dangerous shrinking dust? Or for the devastating heart atttack inducing bacteria?
LOL

Re: Wild theory
Actually, that’s the kind of thinking that could lead to an unexpected comprehensive explanation of the event. You should pursue it.

Re: Wild theory
I agree, its a bit ott, and I don't believe the universe works that way. If these are gods possessions I don't think he would have included dust dirt or microbes.
But on the other hand you could say that all the weird stuff that we cant explain (at the moment) in the world could be small stuff coming out of the room, like UFO`s Big Foot, Loch Ness, The X-file`s?
But I think I stand by my first answer:-
I don't believe the universe works that way.

Have you never read War of the Worlds or seen the movie? God’s toolbox might indeed include microbes.
