1968 Military Involvement

Here is something I never caught before. Apparently the 1968 death of a John Doe (reviewed by Martin Ruber during the first episode) was reported to the military. It says, “Military officials were notified as per the unusual cause of death…”

The same report includes a reference to a 1945 study of radiation.

Interesting find. If the victim was military, you'd think he wouldn't be a John Doe because of his dog tags.

This once again raises the question of how much the government knows and what their involvement has been over the years. I don’t think the DOE was a soldier, but it appears that the military was apprised of the unusual circumstances of his death. This incident occurred at a time when microwave ovens were still well in the future. They would have been concerned about a microwave weapon.

It's hard for me to believe the military knew anything about the objects or surely they'd all be locked away in some warehouse along with the ark of the covenant by now.

That’s kind of my point. I have wondered for some time now how the objects could have maintained such a low profile. If the military was tipped off this early, the object’s low profile becomes just that much more difficult to explain. There must be something about the objects or the circumstances surrounding the objects that we aren’t seeing. The anonymity of the objects must be one of their properties or somehow connected to the event itself.
