No, I'm good.

If it turns out the book is worth having, you can buy one.

How did I miss this string? It's like my head just exploded. It will take me a week to assimilate it all.

Here it is on Amazon.com. It is for sale by five different sellers:

Can one head explode twice? Do the hemispheres explode in sequence?

Re: hmmm?

The ISBN's are different? There must be two different versions of the book.

Or is there one version...somehow...with different ISBN's? Don't publishers have any principles any more?

The one with these ISBN's has 72 pages and is "authored" by Lambert M. Surhone (and two others?):

ISBN-10 6130999747
ISBN-13: 9786130999742

The one with these ISBN's has 120 pages and is "authored" by Jesse Russell and Ronald Cohn:

ISBN-10: 5511293040
ISBN-13: 978-5511293042

Re: hmmm?

I just read the article that X linked to. Here is a quote:

quote:

The cover was adorned with a stripy abstraction that looked like a beach towel. Inside was the Pagan Kennedy Wikipedia entry, and then a random collection of wiki-text tenuously connected to my path through life. (About a quarter of the book is devoted to Dartmouth College, where I worked as a visiting writer a few years ago.) Some of the text is so small you might need a jeweler’s loupe to read it. So the book was, as advertised, Wikipedia content — though it’s hard to imagine anyone would want it in this format.

All of these books are a complete waste of money. They are just computer generated garbage from some scam company in Mauritius.

DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEM!

Re: hmmm?

Okay, so the book is small. It explains the Lost Room in a simple way for someone who's never heard of it. The book has no real value for a Collector.

It also spins off topic frequently by talking about Science fiction in general or the history of the SyFy channel. The only time this is really helpful is when it talks briefly about the lead actors careers.

I think our book should something like, "Object collecting for COLLECTORS". Going into detail about how to find prop replicas and Paulian objects. It should assume you already know WHAT the Lost Room is.

So you like the book idea? I only got two responses in the string, so I didn't think I had sufficient buy-in. Are there any other silent advocates out there?

The idea of a book is very compelling.
I'd like to do a section on speed collecting
if that would fit with what ever format your going for.

I would buy a copy.
