The Objects, why they may be indestuctable

Could be that they are in a constant state of "time fluctuation"...I.E. they exist in our space but not in our time. They are only stationary when in the room. When they are not in the room they are in every possible instance of time.
I propose that they should feel cold to the touch because they are not really in our spacetime.
What made me think of this was the "Amber" series of novellas written by Roger Zelazney. This series is about a race of beings who originated from the one , true reallity Amber. These people could travel to different realities by merely creating them with their minds and walking or riding to them...example: while on horseback, an Amberite might think "around the next corner, the sky will be purple." This process, moves them away from Amber into a different reallity which becomes a Shadow cast by Amber, but is also very real in its own sense, and remains there when they leave.
They had means of instant communication and travel called the Trumps. The Trumps were a deck of tarot like cards which depicted people or places. An Amberite could hold a Trump(which felt cold to the touch), and converse with the person depicted, AND if the other person allowed it, could be transported to the reallity that person was in. If the Trump depicted a place, the user could just concentrate on it.and step into that reallity. The Trumps were indestructable because they only really existed in Amber{where they did not feel cold and could be harmed} The reason the Trumps felt cold in the alternate reallity was because they were not really there, and did not aclimate to the temperature of their surroundings...they also could not be altered or destroyed because of the same reason!
The interior of the motel room is where the objects really are...

Seems to fit in with the concept of there being more than one Room: its spread out in other realities/times/spaces.

Great series. Not sure I read ALL the books. He started writing new ones at some point. I know I read some of the new ones, but maybe not all.
