Possible new objects.
Hey everyone. Been away fore a while, but i'll be popping on from now and again.
In my time away, i restored a 1963 polaroid countdown 90 land camera, and have actually used it to take wedding photos. It occured to me, that even with the polaroid model 95b, being type 40 roll film, would still contain TWO rolls, the positive, AND NEGATIVE sides. so, there may very well be a roll of negative images.
By the time of the collectors, Polaroid had advanced away from roll film, and polaroid was using split apart "pack film" but either way, with roll film, or pull film, there was always a negative side for each polaroid.

Re: Possible new objects.
Something I've noticed.
Aftershave, Razor, Shaving Brush, Shaving Mirror...
Where is the Shave Soap/Cream? Shaving with a straight razor without a soap or cream is asking to be bled.
Furthermore, a straight razor requires a strop to be used before each use. My brother-in-law is a shaving enthusiast and he uses a straight razor so I'm pretty sure that I'm right about this.
I've looked over the Grooming Kit and saw no sign of any shaving soap (though it could be in one of the containers) or a strop.

Re: Possible new objects.
My grandfather was a barber in the 40s 50s and 60s. When he cut my hair at 5 years old I remember him using a 3 foot leather strap and a straight razor. Having your hair trimmed with a razor is something you never forget.
I too believe Eddie had a strop. It would not fit in the grooming kit, no way, so its inside the Koch suitcase. Further I don't believe hotel bath soap would come close to giving you the right lather for a shave.
The problem with the canon is an object needs a photo or a direct conformation by the creator. Think Big Foot. No picture No big foot. Take the gum. We don't have a photo, so any gum pre 1961 is possible. But here also is the joy of collecting. If you research a unknown object you understand how it came to be, then you have to beat anyone else to have that object. When it enters the collect it has a history, a story, a mystery.
So go for the objects you feel in your heart Eddie would have had, build yourself the best Eddie you can build, for after all, aren't we all trying to figure out just who the hell he was.
