A MAP
Say you want to create a map to a vault.
What materials would you uses?
You want it so last as long as possible
so the you might use stone or iron.
You could use copper or brass in a pitch parchment would come in hand. But your lucky you have objects that do age or rust, or for that matter can be destroyed.
What would you use?

Re: A MAP
I´d use material similar to the objects I have hidden, so it would 'be spoiled' at the same rate as the objects.
However making the map out of valuable material might result in the map being destroyed when the map-user swaps it with cash.
Anyways, today we have the most durable material at hand so far: plastic
