Re: Thoughts on The Key

Both DMV and I have several different Niessen keys. They hold no value as a Lost Room object, but we collect them anyway. A Niessen 693A just happens to be sitting on the desk next to me as I am typing this.

Re: Thoughts on The Key

What I remember from the Niessen Catalog the Eagle Keys dups occupied a single page the 400 numbered blanks were blanks for a different lock company.

A photo of the 472A would be helpful.

Also as I recall Niessen used the letter "A" for blanks that were brass.

Drag and drop on Imgur.com, click 'start upload' or something similar, then get the link. Should be easy from there.

Niessen Brothers key company actually existed in the real world. They are an old company that is no longer in business. I have several of their OTHER keys. The others are fairly common, it is only the 612A that is especially rare. Half of the 612A key and have of a Schlage key were used to produce the prop key(s) from The Lost Room. Other collectors here have other Niessen keys. That is indeed a thing to collect the other Niessen keys, even though they're not related.
