new to The Motel Room
Hello,
I think I found something.
It was in a old file drawer.
And it is acting oddly.

Re: new to The Motel Room
I was opening drawers in an old dresser and from one of the drawers that I hadn't opened came a VOICE.
Scared the heck out of me. I opened the drawer and found a furby toy that had woken up from the movement of opening the other drawers and started talking.
The thing had been in the drawer for at least 5 years before this happened.

Re: new to The Motel Room
I believe introductions are in order. My name in Tom Marquette
I live outside a tiny little town call Lower Lake(in a blue oak forest).
I teach computer classes at the local college (gimp, Inkscape).
I'm a SSU grad in Art.
I have been following the [Wall Painting(photo/print)] thread with great delight.
This week I'm going down to U of C and shooting a mess of photos of the
area around the Le Conte oak (replacement).
I have placed a bid on the travel clock, now for the weird stuff. My grandmother had the same clock. It is one of my deepest childhood memories. I would fold and unfold the thing until my grandma took it away.
I'm looking forward to contributing to the on-going myth that is: The Lost Room. I think it will be fun to fill-in the blanks. I got some thoughts on the matter, why Gamerco NM is the center of the universe.
Oh yes here's the thing I found. Can someone tell be what it does?
OH MY the insert image button is counter-intuitive. I'll load a image to my server then link it.
Thank you for all your hard work here. This is truly a great site.
tom
P.S. sorry for all the first person pronouns, will limit in future

Re: new to The Motel Room
Here is the thing. Might it be a Object? If so how does it interact with our reality?

Re: new to The Motel Room
Thanks Cattrina and Jintosh
I'm working on a Dinner's Club card and an American Express. The AM EX was first issued in 1958 which fits in the time line. Dinner's Club Cards started in 1951 but by 1958 it would have had a wider customer base. Got a Military license from world war two and a photo of Eddie at about 18. Will save them in SVG and Photoshop file for other to uses.
Here is a large image of the operator
