Inconsistencies
you know, I have read alot of different discussions (Mostly very complicated) about Inconsistencies, such as "how did kreutzfeld get out of the Vault" (which is easily explained) and Others...
But why is it that NO ONE has Asked the MOST SIMPLE Question about the Absolute MAIN Function in thez Whole MOVIE - (The Function of the KEY and in concert with the Motel Room - The Ability to Walk Through ANY Door in the World, as long as you have been there or have a clear picture of it in your Mind)...
WHAT IF THE DOOR YOU WANT TO COME OUT OF HAS THE HINGES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE??? What if it Opens Right to Left as opposed to Left to Right??? What if It Opens Inward rather than Outward? The (Inward/Outward) I dont see as being a huge problem. But If it were a Door that had the Hinges on the Opposite Side as the Motel Door Then you would expect that the second it Shut Behind You and ceased to be the Motel Door anymore and just the Regular Door - That the DOOR KNOB would Immediately Swap from being on ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER? This seems like it would DEFINATELY Be Noticeable to the USER as they would still be Holding the DOOR KNOB When it was FULLY SHUT and Ceased to be the "Motel Door" and became the Door in which they were Walking Through...
ANY THOUGHTS??????
ANY IDEAS?????
PS: ALSO --- ANYONE ELSE NOTICE That Kreutzfeld asked Joe to leave his GUN behind, but later when he escapes from the Vault HE NEVER GOES BACK TO Kreutzfeld's Place BUT HE STILL HAS THE GUN WHEN HE GOES TO FIND THE OCCUPANT???? Just a small inconsistency....

Re: Inconsistencies
Indeed the physics of HOW it would work are not only hard to explain....it could be impossible to show on a tv screen.
Iggy goes out the police station door, but only the side of the door he uses the key on functionally accesses the Motel Room door. The video show the other side of the door remains closed while Iggy goes into the Motel Room.
Only one side of the door you're going out gets "attached" to the Motel Room door.
In the vault, the submarine looking hatch that accesses the top of the vault is a hinged door. If it also had a lock, it could theoretically be used as an exit with the key.
We know a size and shape difference is possible when Joe Comes out the tiny Castle door into Kreutzfeld's house. And when the guy in the pawn shop uses the mini door to test the key and access the room. But if the hatch door was used, how would up/down translate into opening the Motel Room door...?
It just raises more questions.

Re: Inconsistencies
I brought the gun issue up with Laura about a year and a half ago
(Q) If Joe left his gun at Karl's before going to the prison/vault. Where did he get a gun for his visit to the Green Valley Psychiatric Horsepital?
(A) Well, we never explain this explicitly in the show, but we figure Joe is a cop, and has more than one gun and/or access to more than one gun.
