The sliding window in the bathroom
I've seen this series a few times thru. I couldn't help but notice the small slide-up window in the small room next to the bathroom.
What would happen if you opened this window and climbed out?
I think the outside of the motel room is in the same world as the motel room. When you go outside you would end up in a world full of objects. Anything you brought back from that world would be in object in the real world.
I would bring back all kinds of objects to the real world from the other world. Just to see what they do. I would bring back a keleidescope. I wonder what the heck that would do! :P
In this other world, beyond the sliding window is a world like those Twilight Zone shows. There are no people and yet it is maintained by some kind of force. The supermarkets are always open and stocked. The movie theaters show movies on a schedule without any people to run them. And in this world you don't age. That's where I would live. Completely alone and at peace.
The only way to get back to the real world would be the motel room of course.
Such fantasy... I really do enjoy this series because of the utter creative scenario that has been developed.
Anyway, are there any other posts about what would happen if someone broke the window or climbed out the sliding window?
Thanks. Looking forward to reading some good stuff around here. Can't wait for the comic!
Cya.

Re: The sliding window in the bathroom
I'm sure Cattrina can quote you the correct answer.
But, basically, there is NOTHING outside the window. Not even AIR.
The room itself has been pulled out of reality, so there is no reality outside the window.

Re: The sliding window in the bathroom
I remember Joe looking out the window and seeing a landscape outside the room with the wind blowing grass and the Sunshine Motel sign.

Yes, but one of the creators of the lost room, is a member of our group and said there is nothing beyond the room. What you see is illusion of the last thing to exist outside the window before the event.
It is always the same time of day inside the room, morning, noon, or night, you see the scene outside the window as fixed. It's not real.

Re: The sliding window in the bathroom
Oh... thanks for setting me straight. That makes sense.
I always wondered... Looking back now I think that seeing the grass blow in the wind made me think it was a real world out there. Kinda threw me off...
But if the grass was moving, then.... umm yeah that is confusing.
