I just got an answer from Chris to my gentle inquiry.
He says he really really wants to do the comic, but other projects pour in. The comic is now on hold.
'on hold' is never good news. We have now no timeframe how long we have to wait.

It sounds a lot like a "suspended campaign". I can't deny the probable explanation. Nor can I blame Chris for being uncomfortable divulging the unsavory news. It must be like saying no to a second date with someone you like and respect but just can't envision pursuing.
Well, the forum isn't going anywhere. I am still keeping the lights on.
