The Magazine
Judging from the thoughtfulness of other collectors' comments, I'm sure this problem has come up before. Can anyone explain to me why there would be a Time magazine from July 1961 when the event occurred in May? How is this possible? Perhaps there were two events: the first in July which caused the tear that led somehow to the second in May?

Re: The Magazine
CL had something to say about this:
quote: Christopher Leone wrote:
Well, regarding direct-to-video etc., I think I shouldn't speculate at this point. But believe me when I say you guys will be the first to know...
Regarding the Life magazine, the answer is "both." It was originally an error -- we knew immediately it didn't make sense as an Object because of the date -- but decided to leave it in the Sood's database because (a) it looked kind of cool and (b) we could consider it either:
1. An error on the part of Sood's (although a pretty obvious one).
2. A known hoax that still exists in the Sood's database for some reason or
3. An as-yet-unexplained anomaly which we could play with at a later date. This is by far the most interesting, of course...
I love that we're talking about an Object that appears for literally 2 frames in the miniseries, by the way. It does not surprise me in the least. I KNEW that part would be gone over with a fine-toothed comb!

Re: The Magazine
The best explanation to date is an application of the Law of Conservation of Objects. Possibly, the original magazine was destroyed in the room (perhaps it caught fire) and another handy magazine took its place.
Welcome to our cabal. Feel free to step into our motel room and introduce yourself.

Re: The Magazine
Or in the reality that room 10 originally came from is out of phase with ours by a month.
Just had an idea pop into my skull, have we ever seen night time out through the motel room window or is it always day?

Re: The Magazine
It might be as simple as earlier Conroy experiment. She test objects in the room, and brought the magazine in during a "destruction test" in the room.

Makes you suddenly wonder how many more objects aren't the originals.

Re: The Magazine
The Harmonica is an anachronism also. Maybe it is a replacement object.
