Re: What the Future Will Be Like Yep. Computers do what they're programmed to do. Unless you program a computer to take over the world, it's not going to do it.
Re: What the Future Will Be Like Very interesting. Though, while AI can think yet, as you pointed out, poses no real threat without a malicious human mind behind it, with a lot of time ad money going into developing robotic companions, emulating thoughts and emotion, it doesn't seem out of the ordinary that in the --very-- distant future, we will one day move from AI to AS --Artificial Sentience-- which would then allow machines to create their own motivation. Even at this however, if we did accomplish this amazing --even awesome-- feat, the machines that would have it would likely prove no threat as they would be designed for conversation more than anything, and there would likely be backup plans to confront any negative occurrences.

Re: What the Future Will Be Like I always loved the concept of a Singularity after we filmed a web series called SYNC. And I truly do think it is the future of all our human knowledge. And while I still have not seen a movie properly show a singularity I think our Web series got close. Check it out and let me know what you think about the version we showed? Sadly the concept doesn't hit until a while in.
