Re: SECRET PROJECT REVEALED!
GENIUS PICTURE!!! I'm laughing my ass off. Okay, that one is a keeper.
Thanks for checking out WE KILL MONSTERS guys, I really appreciate it. I hope you like it when it comes out. Chuckles, ha yeah I think you'll start to sense a bigger picture as the issues unfold. Although I freely admit WKM definitely doesn't have the same obsessive level of complexity as LOST ROOM! WKM is more EVIL DEAD 2 or GHOSTBUSTERS.

Re: SECRET PROJECT REVEALED!
Darn.
I forgot to stop at the comic book store. Now I am on my island and can’t get it.
I’ll figure something out.

Thanks Chris. I thought there must be something like that. I will savor it when I get home from work tonight.

Re: SECRET PROJECT REVEALED!
So someone, anyone at all, tell me how one goes about acquiring this series. Can it only be purchased in comic book stores or can one have it mailed? I can’t find any clue on the Red 5 Website.
I figure there is no point in dillydallying around. Paul, you are a comic book aficionado. How is this done?

Re: SECRET PROJECT REVEALED!
just go to your local comic book store and have them reserve the series for you....it's a simple thing to do...most comic stores have "boxes" you can put your name on and titles you can reserve to pick up later.....when the title you request comes in they put it in your box and you come in later to pick it up and pay for it.
that is what I am doing.

Re: SECRET PROJECT REVEALED!
The deed is done.
The comic book store I had planned on going to on Saturday is on my Saturday route—and inconvenient during the week. I Googled comic book stores in the area and found one on my weekday route called Comic Den.
I went there between my afternoon and evening classes. A polite middle-aged gentleman was working behind the counter. Surprisingly, though it was 5:30 PM, there was no one in the store.
After explaining to the gentleman what I wanted, I asked if I could pay for the whole thing in advance.
He took down the order, including my phone number, but cautioned that I should not pay in advance. He said “It’s a small publisher and they might not finish the series or might not get to the second issue in several months or even a year.”
Perplexed, I left and walked about half way back to my car; then suddenly realized he had said I “should not” pay for it in advance and not that I “could not” pay for it in advance.
I turned on my heels and headed back. As I entered the door, I said, “After reflecting on your concern, I have decided to go ahead and pay for the whole thing in advance. I’ll tell you what…if they don’t finish it, you can keep the change. “
At this point, he reassured me that if the series was discontinued he would refund the extra. It was then that I realized his concern had not been that I would be out some 19 odd dollars in the long haul, but that I would be subjected to the burden of obtaining a refund.
I started to pull out my credit card, but he explained that he only takes cash and checks.
After I wrote a check, he wanted to show me what the cover of the comic book looked like. I went ahead and looked at it, verifying that it was, indeed, the POV from inside a monsters mouth. I said, “You know…I have actually seen it.” He was surprised at this, but not curious enough to question me. I didn’t bother to explain. He wrote out a receipt and promised that I would get a call when it came in.
So that’s it. MY six issues are secure. If, for some unfathomable reason, the series does not finish, I know a miniseries that could stand some updating.
