The Razor
The Razor
classification: paulesque
(behind the scenes image contributed by jess)
(behind the scenes images provided by Jess)
(behind the scenes images provided by Jess)
exactly correct except for the monochromatic handle:
(stock image)
The Razor appears in The Comb and the Box. It is one of the objects on the lighted table in the Order of the Reunification temple. It appears briefly on the Sood’s computer when Joe Miller and Howard (The Weasel) Montague visit the Sood with the picture of Eddie and Mabel.
When The Razor is touched to any glass, the glass immediately shatters. This information comes from one of the Sci Fi Channel’s early promotional videos, and is never demonstrated or explained during the actual miniseries. The razor is also responsible for the feedback noise Dr. Martin Ruber hears when he attempts to contact the Order of the Reunification by telephone. This information comes directly from Christopher Leone, one of the three writers.
The Razor is apparently a J.A. Henckels manufactured in Solingen Germany. The last razor pictured above is a J.A. Henckels that is exactly correct except for the monochromatic handle.

Re: The Razor
don't forget that The Razor is the Object that made the "feedback" that Martin Ruber heard on the phone when attempting to contact the Order. It was the cause of the shrill noise he heard on the phone.

Re: The Razor
OK, I got it.
Don’t delete your post. I think it is a good idea to retain the record of discussion.

Re: The Razor
I updated this article with new information. The razor I used for the last image is still up for auction. I have no intention of bidding on it. I don’t do semipaulian any more.

Re: The Razor
The semi-paulian one is interesting.
Looks like it says something similar to
"Grand Prix 1901 and maybe the word "farm""

Re: The Razor
In any case, the show-correct one does not have any carvings

Re: The Razor
"This is madness!"
From the Picture that Jess posted up, the one used for the Soods Inventory, THAT Razor has some kind of pattern on the opposite side from where the sharp end is. Some one needs to zoom in on it.
