When The Polaroid is viewed at the location of Room 10, it becomes a window into the exact status of the room the moment before The Event. The Polaroid appears, superficially, to be a typical undeveloped Polaroid picture created with a Polaroid Land Camera prevalent in 1961: It is impossible to determine if the Polaroid featured in the miniseries is an actual undeveloped Polaroid image. However, this seems unlikely. It would have been much cheaper and simpler to improvise a prop that looks exactly like an original. The upper right-hand corner of The Polaroid contains one of the most scrutinized pieces of masking tape in the world. It has torn edges, burn marks, and numerous stains and markings. The word “Gallup” is printed by hand: Due to its topographical similarity to the State of Washington, its various regions have been assigned appropriate names: The Polaroid can be made from materials and information that are widely available. Most collectors who make the Polaroid simply print it on photo paper and distress it. Some add carpet tape to the back. The Collectors forum has a download of Eddie's image. Some collectors, purists if you will, prefer a blank image rather than one that shows Eddie McCleister or any other image from Room 10.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Spikosauropod)Mon, 09 Mar 2009 19:19:55 +0000
