The bus ticket appears at the beginning of the miniseries when Joe first encounters Wally Jabrowski. It plays a pivotal role in later scenes.

When the bus ticket makes contact with any person’s skin, that person is immediately transported to U.S. Highway 491 (old Route 666) just north of Gallup New Mexico and the Sunshine Motel. The person is dropped onto the road flat on their stomach, just hard enough to cause discomfort but not hard enough to cause serious injury or death.

Re: The Bus Ticket

Can anyone find or get more screen shots of the bus ticket?

Also, what type of tape do you use for the bus ticket?

Which specific screen shot of the ticket are you looking for?

I can't remember which thread, but I think I found 2 to 3 versions of that ticket and I think one had the destination filled in.

Any and all.

And as I see from that picture, the destination and days font might be Times. Also that extra space isnt needed if you can see from the top picture.

The picture of the bus ticket I used here does have some problems. I used it because I liked the aging. Actually, it would just be a quick trip to Photoshop to make it more correct. If anyone wants to do that and post the picture, go ahead. I will use it in the article.

Re: The Bus Ticket

I messed with making my own ticket props just before Paul's arrived, I added finger prints and dirt in photoshop and via a 2 part over printing process much like making banknotes. Also offset the departure stamp to match. Never quite finished it, wasn't happy with the colours and gave up when my printer ran dry, but this is where I got to:

Back dirt print overlay.

My test rough for the front with dirt already added:

This was before I broke down the print stages into 3 to get better depth of colour and a more realistic dirt layer effect. Ticket below the stains and fingerprints on top of it all.

I would have gone further with it and aged part of the ticket outside the tape and produced several versions, mint, destination with tape revealed and Wally's standard. Would have also made up the variants. Even so I'd never be pleased as one image I caught off the DVD shows a blurred blue stamp mark in the destination section.

Ok Roller, the back looks better. Now if someone could make one... And not me. I have already used too much ink and paper just getting the 1st one right.

The last destination word looks like Nevada.

This is kind of what it would have ended up like, but through print the colours would be different and the dabs would have stood out more.
