No. It is out of the cellophane and quite worn. Note the second image above:

This is actually a very good question. We know Chris has said the Cigarettes are in cellophone, but wasn't it somewhere in the discussion 'same with the playing cards'?

in any case, how could one had
A) taken the inventory photo out of the playing cards with The Joker staring you at your face?
and
B) How does one take the Joker out of the case anyways, if the cards inside are covered in cellophone (however it seems really weird to have the cellophone only inside the case)

if the Joker was put outside the box during packaging, one would assume there is a cellophone all around it still

Q: The Deck of Cards, Cigarettes?

The Deck of Cards was always meant to be wrapped in cellophane, so it would be impossible to open and, therefore, would be a single Object. HOWEVER, there's a philosophical question here, which is, is every card in the deck, plus the box, plus the cellophane one single Object, or actually 50+ Objects housed in a single "body"? Is the Deck's effect is a combination of 50+ separate Object effects or a single one? Anyway, it's ultimately a moot question -- since it can't be broken down, the question can never be answered -- but anyway it's interesting.

I was doing research into the deck of cards and saw this post. I was thinking maybe the manufacturer put the joker on the outside of the box then wrapped it in cellophane but after looking at the pictures I noticed there was no cellophane. So I assumed the seal prevented anyone from opening the deck of cards but what about the other end?

That is exactly the comment from the Creators I was thinking too, unfortunately did not have the time to run a search in the library XD

That is most serious to think about...

and this pic proves there´s no cellophone over the deck... if there were, the corners would not have been worn... obviously Eddie, or someone else had used the cards many years before they became Objectized. That really makes me think the said power is combination of them all together... otherwise they would have been disbanded already

Re: The Deck of Cards

The joker on the front is not part of the deck. It is a decorative card added to the cover of the deck. I have decks that have been done in this way, but the decorative card is always turned face in so that you can see the pattern on the back.

The end of the deck without the seal is glued shut so that the cards cannot be taken out without breaking the seal. Hence, if the seal has not been broken, the cards could not be taken out of the deck. As for the prop used in the show, I strongly suspect that the seal has been broken; but it is likely that in the theoretical card object the seal has not been broken.

Thanks for the clarification Cattrina & Spike. I was going crazy trying to figure out the deck of cards. I had a theory that the volume of the vision is the sum of each individual card object and that if somehow you got a individual card you would experience a smaller and less chaotic vision.

That is a good theory. It is not definitely irreconcilable with what we know.

Re: The Deck of Cards

I used modern Plastic Coated Cards for my deck. They may be slightly thicker than other card decks. Not sure if the leather case will fit or not.

deck on eBay LINK

Read pizmeyre's post to learn how to modify it. (the case comes blank, it won't have those designs on it)

The leather case is really hard to make. I have ruined several while attempting it. It is an expensive and frustrating proposition.
