That picture in the frame looks dead on, it sits excatly how I designed it to sit, with the extra cms I added to the pic.

There was the option of Border/no Border
but also Resize/no resize

I chose no border and resize. They printed the
picture a full 20 inches wide. So the side IS cut off.

Where you see the arrow, there should be a vertical sliver of white in the tree trunk. It's been cut off with
options I chose.

No, definitely not your fault. They resized it and removed the space you added because of the options I chose.

I simply reordered and let them resize it, but selected "border" this time. I will display the results when it arrives.

  But yes, nice object.

Yeah, I already had the talent, but Jin gave me inspiration.
The painting is practically re-done by me entirely.

But some credit goes also to the painter, who painted the first draft. Without that we did not know it was actually photograph, rather than actual painting.

Re: The Wall Painting

Cattrina got me thinking about buildings around the Le Conte Oaks. So I dug a bit and found the following. This may product a new lead. Possible one of the Arts and Crafts student say in 1916 walks 100 yard takes a picture and later went on to hand color it. Given that the print/painting is I believe 16 by 20 seems a work of a Art Student with a photo lab and studio space would be a likely candidate to have done our Object. Further the print might actually be a litho over a photo litho. Just a thought. Will check the Collge of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and see if anything turns up.

Kellogg Primary School (1880–1910, Berkeley's second public school, located at Center and Oxford; Berkeley High School was located on the grounds from 1880–1900; after Kellogg closed, its buildings were rented to the California College of Arts and Crafts from 1911–1921; subsequently razed.)

How did I miss entirely Tom's reply to this thread?

Yes, that is what I thought, a student must have taken the picture as part of his/her crafts studies.

Or, it could as well be one of the promotion pictures they took from the University, who knows.

Have you framed yours yet, Tom?

You must put it above your Bed!!
