I would keep whatever pic you want to a reasonable size for those who have dial-up. Chuckles Thank you very much. I was just making sure because the last forum I was in my banner got deleted for being 5 pixels too long. There weren't rules about signatures there too. Oh well, had to make sure for future banners. ^_^nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gypsy Eyes)Sun, 04 Jul 2010 19:58:03 +0000 Re: INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p16136,from=rss#post16136https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p16136,from=rss#post16136quote:Gypsy Eyes wrote: Are there rules about image signatures? If you want to write one, I will make it sticky and get rid of the one I posted. Try to start with basic things and work your way into more detailed instruction. Try to write it in such a way that anyone can glimpse at it and get started posting things—but go back to it when they want to do something more advanced. For obvious reasons, I had to post my guide as an image. If you know of another way to get around the restrictions of BBC, you are welcome to your methods.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Spikosauropod)Tue, 27 Apr 2010 18:04:20 +0000 Re: INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15619,from=rss#post15619https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15619,from=rss#post15619You are right, of course. However, these are just quick tips so that new members can easily participate in the discussion. If you want to create a detailed instruction manual on BBC, I will place a link to it in the original post. I can call it something like: Detailed Guide to Bulletin Board Code. Such a guide would be helpful to me also. There are things I would like to do and just don’t know how to. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Spikosauropod)Tue, 27 Apr 2010 17:48:17 +0000 Re: INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15617,from=rss#post15617https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p15617,from=rss#post15617Also do note, that there are 'insert image' and 'insert link' -buttons right here at the top of the reply window. Many browsers also allow right-click the image you see on a webpage and 'copy image address'. That you can paste on the box the 'insert image' -button gives you. Naturally, because of copy-rights, you may not claim said image as your own. For that purpose upload your self-made images on photobucket or similar and copy the image address to your pic from there. Referring to any online image on a forum, as an example or a discussion topic etc. is 'fair use', though.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cattrina)Tue, 27 Apr 2010 10:47:33 +0000 Re: INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p11783,from=rss#post11783https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p11783,from=rss#post11783There is a quote button built into the system. However, if you use (quote)………(/quote), except with square brackets instead of round, it will set it off as a quote. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Spikosauropod)Thu, 25 Jun 2009 15:27:20 +0000 Re: INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p11780,from=rss#post11780https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p11780,from=rss#post11780How do you post the quote type reply?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Exyooper)Thu, 25 Jun 2009 10:00:43 +0000 INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING LINKS AND IMAGEShttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p6689,from=rss#post6689https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p6689,from=rss#post6689 nondisclosed_email@example.com (Spikosauropod)Thu, 07 Aug 2008 13:21:22 +0000
