Pencil Chuckle

The end of the pencil appears to have been sharpened either with a hand sharpener or with a knife. Any opinions?

That's what I was thinking. The long strait edge where the yellow meets the wood (red) suggests to me that the sharpening was done in a noncircular fashion--i.e. a knife. The tip (green) also has the distinct shape of a pencil sharpened with a knife. We know Eddie had a Kamp King, and there probably wasn’t a crank sharpener handy, so he undoubtedly sharpened the pencil with a knife.

I honestly don't remember seeing
the pencil in the series
I watch the pencil video but it is dark and
vague enough to be annoying
it looks like there is a dark stripe
in the middle of the metal band.
and it is too fuzzy to see if there is any printing
on the pencil itself. sorry if this has been gone through
somewhere else but, well this is the pencil thread.

I wonder what would happen if you use the pencil
to write in the Deathnote? emoticon

No, you’re doing good. The pencil has never been discussed here. That is why I introduced it.

For some reason I recall a scene where Kreutzfeld was making pennies with the pencil and putting them into a bubblegum machine. However, I think I imagined it in a dream or something. In all my times fast-forwarding through the DVD looking for various things, I have never come across that scene.

Re: Pencil Chuckle

the scene in question is the Joe and Wally scene at the diner where they first have a good talk.

Wally says that "the guy tapped his brains out" after making $500 a day w/ the pencil for 6 months.

there is a pencil scene that was cut from the mini series due to time.
