Actual Props Available?
Anyone know if there are any actual set props available, sale or auction? Probably too soon, but thought I would ask. I found the name of the Prop Master for the series, but couldn't find his email or contact info.

Re: Actual Props Available?
Hi rdough,
Feel free to step into our motel room and introduce yourself.
It is very unlikely that you will find an actual props available. Our understanding is that they are stored away for possible future use. If an actual object prop came up for auction, it would sell for a LOT!

Re: Actual Props Available?
Seems like a reasonable collector quest to try and pin down the location, owner, availability and inventory of the actual props, even if they are not overtly available. Isn't this what the collector's were doing with the story's items?

Re: Actual Props Available?
It would be kind of bitter sweet if they ever did. As much as I'd love to own the actual watch or the key, it would probably mean that hope for any more Lost Room was gone.
Still I'm sure Chris would let us know if anything ever was available.

Re: Actual Props Available?
That’s the crux of it. It would be sad if the props went up for sale—sort of like inheriting my mother’s jewels. There would be no joy in that.

Re: Actual Props Available?
True, but maybe they are not all in one box somewhere. I think I will probe some and see if I can get some leads. Maybe a new subforum for "sightings/pictures/locations of original props".

Re: Actual Props Available?
This idea just doesn’t sit right with me.
I hope I am not overstating the point, but this will help to clarify my feelings on the subject. If you proposed to a group of Christians that they start an archaeological program to unearth the true cross, you might meet with some enthusiasm. However, if you proposed a similar program to find the body of Jesus, you would meet with revulsion. To me, making a concerted effort to find the actual props would simply be in bad taste.
Truthfully, if an object prop became available, I would rather I have it than someone who just collects expensive trinkets. Similarly, if my mother died, I would rather I have her jewels than some pawn broker. Still, I would rather have my mother than her jewels.
We are a site devoted to the “living” TLR.
