Re: The Suitcase

No I mean with the thrown that it was not measured to be in exact aligning with the wall. It most likely is a little off from a straight angle... as if it was thrown on the stand by Eddie.

I´m pretty ordely where I put my things, but I am not that neurotic I would arrange my suitcase to be located in straight square angle with a wall emoticon

Although I know someone who has that disorder (or should one say uberorder) to align everything in squares....

I do not think Eddie had that emoticon

The suitcase not being in a square angle with the wall, makes determining the size using the slats that much harder.

Re: The Suitcase Found !!!!!

ok...right now I do not have the time to snap the pics BUT based on this pic done by Cattrina here is what I know for a fact:

Image

Cattrina superimposed the handle 4 times across the length of the case.....the handle measures 5 1/4" exactly so that times 4 equals 21".

The suitcase must be 21".

Re: The Suitcase

after careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that the suitcase must be 24" and not 21"

well...at least the one I have is much more show correct than the other I have.

The hunt continues....

Re: The Suitcase

Yeah the main problem is we do not KNOW exactly the lenght of the handle, they are not standard sized... although all of them has to measure larger that average human hand....

Also the image we are working with is not exact, we do not know all the angles affecting this... and the handle x 4 is just a cropped&pasted... so there are tiny gaps and whatnot...

so actually we are not the smarter at all :/

Did any of the set masters give you this detail?

Just because you have similar suitcase does not mean the SHOW suitcase in the pic has 5 1/4 handle. Especially since we are trying to figure out if YOUR suitcase is EXACTLY same as the one in the pic... stating the handle is 5 1/4 based on your suitcase kind of is similar than trying to proof the color of the thing.

In this pic it LOOKS reddish tan, but since the photo is not manually photoshopped to match the RL suitcase, we can only ASSUME the suitcase is reddish tan. It could be brown or actually any shade around that scale.

Just because some of us has a similar looking suitcase which is brownish tan, does not mean the suitcase in the pic is.

I am not saying that you are wrong, you might as well have the perfect match. As long as you are happy with your collection, I am happy for you.

For me, analysing things in this detail is not pointing out other´s mistakes. For me analyzing images in this detail is just plain fun and pointing out details and argumenting on notions is what I do.

Please NEVER take my comments personally. (This applies to everyone) :P

I am more than happy with my case...it is a close as I will get as of now...and that is after looking for one for 3yrs.

I assume that Koch made all the handles the same size....sure I could be wrong and I probally am.....but it makes sense from a manufacturer standpoint to make all the handles the same size.

This one looks familiar. I think it was listed earlier by the seller of Chuckles' case.
