The Polaroid Camera

I am sure it has been discussed, and I am not sure what the consensus is, but I think that the Polaroid Camera is probably an Object. The one that can be seen in the temple of The Order is a Model 95 B. It was produced from 1957 to 1961. This past weekend while searching antique stores for Objects I found a near perfect Polaroid Model 95 B. It even came with a brown suite case to carry it in.

Confirmed by Christopher Leone to be an Object.

Re: The Polaroid Camera

There is not really an aesthetic difference. There was a 95 produced from 1948-1957, a 95A from 1954-1957, and a 95B from 1957-1961. The main differences between the 95A and the 95B is that the exposure setting is marked Light Value on A and Exposure Value on the B and the B has a tighter light lock when using 3000 speed film.

Are you basing your identification on something specific on the one in the temple? It is possible that the one used was not the latest model and could have been a 95 or 95A. Unless, of course, you saw an identifying characteristic of the B, in which case, never mind :-)

I will ask Chris about The Camera.

I do not think it was an Object. but I will check.

While I agree there's a strong possibility that a Polaroid camera could be an object, I don't think we can make a positive identification based on the Order's mock-up of the room. There were parts of it that were pretty inaccurate.

agreed. I too am "on the fence" about the camera. I want to ask Chris before everyone goes bidding nutz !

We do have to ask...what models of Polaroid camera's could have produced the polaroid ? is the 95b the only one ?

Re: The Polaroid Camera

That is true, maybe since the order knew that the Polaroid was an Object they assumed that the camera was one as well and thus put one on display in their little Room 10 shrine.

I would post a photo of the camera and the case and everything you know about the camera—including what you presume a snap shot would look like. Sometimes these things take strange and unexpected twists.

Re: The Polaroid Camera

ok folks...I asked Chris and here's the reply.

Chucklbunny asked:

Hi Chris !

I am back again with another Object question for you. Was there a "camera Object" ? one is seen in the Order's recreation of Room 10 and there is some debate as to it even existing as an Object. So once again I have to ask...is there an Camera Object ? did Eddie have a camera with him ?

and Chris's answer:

Ha! Well, you know there was unexposed Polaroid film in the room...it must have gone with something...

--Chris

There you have it. There is a Camera Object.
