Chuck, what you have found is the right wallet, but the wrong stitching. If you look on the wallet in the Sood's picture, it has more stitching. But good find Chuck!

Still, it’s more about the significance of the find than the exact details. The overarching revelation is that there are two standard styles of wallet: one with a horse and one with a bull. We now know that the bull is grouped with the correct prairie scene. What Chuckles wallet lacks in precision, it more than makes up for in historical significance.

This seems to be a popular motif for wallet makers. The original seems to be burned with hot iron stencil with double lacing trim.
There seems to be few good serch-words for it
Carved wallet
Tooled wallet
Western wallet
Cowboy wallet
Longhorn and cactus hehhee

I actually misspoke. It should probably be considered infrasemipaulian.
You may have been right to not post it. I decided that since I might or might not have bothered to claim it for myself, it should probably be posted.
Just so everyone knows, it is no longer considered to be a reasonable facsimile of the wallet.

This should not have existed, but it does. I found (and claimed) this wallet. It has a horse on one side and the correct plants on the other:
