The Suitcase *Discussion*

Ok.....I got two pics of The Suitcase !! Both pics are of the same suitcase...trust me, I spent HOURS going over the pics from top to bottom.

The top pic is from The Legion's shrine:

Image

The Bottom pic is from "Inside The Lost Room" which is in the special features section of DVD 2 which comes with "The Lost Room" DVD (Thanks Spikey !)

..............................................................

Ok....The Suitcase is brown and molded "plastic, leather or possibly fiberglass" Also it could be a vintage equipment case but i would tend to think it's a vintage suitcase.

make: unknown !!

size: approx 8" - 12" Wide, approx 24" - 28" long & approx 16" - 20" high. (sizes are approx..I could be very wrong)

It has 2 molded ridges on top and bottom of each side of the suitcase and near the clasps by the handle there is a rivet near each clasp. The handle appears to possibly be bakelite or plastic.

There you go folks ! if anyone can find one of these babies then your ahead of me ! I have been searching for one for two months now. I thought I had it found (Halliburton Suitcase) but it is not a match.

Good Luck to anyone hunting this very hard to find Object ! if you find one post your findings right away !

Re: The Suitcase

This is clearly the right type of suitcase. It has the same molded shape, the same closure, the same small latches, the same corrugation on the side, and the same screws on the top. However, the screws are not in quite the right place and the handle attaches to the outside rather than the inside of the posts. I would classify it as semipaulian.

I will formally announce the finding of The Suitcase in The Legion. emoticon

I added "discussion" to the title of this thread so we can still weigh in on this find and other possible models we should look for but I would say that "Koch" is the correct brand we should look for.

Well, just so you’re happy with it.

I’ve gotten picky in my old age.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but the latches look different to me as well. The ones on the found suitcase are perfectly flat, while the ones on the screen-used appear to have raised protrusions on them, more like a slotted tab closure.

You could be right, but I can’t make it out for sure. Sometimes the screen caps simply cannot be matched. The iron is the best example: I am nearly certain it is a Universal Stewardess, but the cylindrical shape of the back has always thrown us. Distortion in the picture just makes it impossible to tell.

It also looks like the keyhole is on the side opposite of the handle (on the screen-used), instead of beneath it. But it does seem to be the correct brand.

I agree...but the one I have is close enough for now. I am sure given time we will find the correct suitcase
