posticon New Member in 2020??

I stumbled onto The Lost Room rather recently, I was scrolling the site "trakt.tv" for new things to watch and it was just there. I read the synopsis and it seemed very appealing. I watched the show and I was entranced. This was only a week or so ago so to say I am far behind is an understatement but this seems to be always the way for me who becomes a fan of something mostly forgotten.

I decided that I loved this show and wanted to make a blog on the site Tumblr for it and to my shock the URL was still available. On my blog I wanted to list all the objects and in my pursuit of accurate but simple images I found this site. I was utterly amazed and shocked that my obsessiveness over this show was shared by other people in such zeal.

I've read through many of your posts and see mention of shutting this site down but deciding to leave it up in case someone new stumbles upon it...well someone new has stumbled upon it and that is me.

I am very grateful for this forum, it's a treasure trove. It is like exhuming the tomb of a long dead king. Words written thirteen years ago about a TV series that has been forgotten by most but still exists, like a living record and here I am left to piece it together; wondering if my "new" thoughts have been said before, if my theories are old news, if my path has already been well tread, almost like Joe himself as he uncovered some of the truths about the Event and the Occupant. Here my questions might be answered, or they might be left in the air to linger like sublimated brass.

I don't think I will ever actually own any of the objects, frankly even getting any of the "easy" objects like the pennies might prove too difficult for me because of my situation and where I live but still, here I can channel my inner Sood and pour over archives and slowly build my own, so for that I am very grateful.

Thank you for this forum, I am just glad to have found it; thirteen years later.

Glad you found the site. It is truly great sci-fi. I remember watch it during original broadcast. The line that floor me was: What does the gun do? Fire bullets real fast. I had no idea how much stuff I would collect. I stop the search before The Coat drove me insane. On my desk at this very moment is the Doctor Scholls foot power. It is totaly show and it make me smile. I got Campho Phenique in a glass bell jar on my dresser. I turned a long long friend on to the show, she love it. So we pass it on, we remember, we collect.

oh The TV is next my desk, the tube die a few years back.
but bakelite is forever.

Thank you for your post

Yes, the line about the gun firing bullets very fast was hilarious and memorable.

Sometimes when I am left for a moment, my mind runs wild with questions or theories about the show and besides the fact the objects hold with them a certain mystique, as I believe all real world objects do, the enduring nature of the show comes from those innumerable enigmas which will remain unanswered for the foreseeable future. emoticon

Welcome !

Yes, collecting was avid in the old days. Some people having close to the 100 items stated in the Mini-Series.

I still have a small collection and run the TheLostRoom.org website. I'm down to selling just a few items now, I used to have a larger selection of objects for sale.

I still have the Lost Room DVD and watch it now and then.

Hello and Welcome!

I'm also new, I just find this forum now (I will need some object for a photoshoot emoticon )
But it's nice to see here is life. I'm new fan, but I don't really use forums. And yes, there is nothing in Tumblr. So if you'll make your blog or need help tell me somehow.
