Have you seen the movie "Accepted" ? You have to do like the guy that learned to blow stuff up. Ultimately, you want a paranormal result. Paranormal results are only going to come from your own mind. You have to WILL the result you want, nothing else is going to work.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Jintosh)Tue, 29 Oct 2013 00:04:58 +0000 Re: The Theoretical Creation of Real Objectshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22063,from=rss#post22063https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22063,from=rss#post22063I promise. Unless I figure out how to recreate the Conroy Experiment. Sorry, there's no stopping me. I will open The Room the right way. But anyways.. Any ideas? nondisclosed_email@example.com (ThyWhoDevourstheSoulsofMen)Mon, 28 Oct 2013 19:24:41 +0000 Re: The Theoretical Creation of Real Objectshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22051,from=rss#post22051https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22051,from=rss#post22051I'm not sure we can stick with an easier science. This is going into events that are insanely complex, even magical. I'm not saying they can't be done. Just because someone here can't/hasn't been able to figure it out, or even if a major scientist can't, doesn't mean it's impossible. Nikola Tesla Did many things that we today with our extremely advanced technology still can't figure out, or have only just recently figured out. Just make sure you don't do anything dangerous.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Vintage Fenrir)Sat, 19 Oct 2013 19:16:38 +0000 Re: The Theoretical Creation of Real Objectshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22048,from=rss#post22048https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22048,from=rss#post22048That's so broad a theory.. We need to narrow it down - What, exactly, is happening to said Strings that they do not function properly? Can it be re-created? It may be easier to focus on the less advanced sciences. We may get into more complicated things later, it's just.. I'm no Einstein or Heisenberg. I'll do better with basic [ as in Atomic ] chemistry and basic [ as in macroscopic ] physics. Also, all that is required for The Clock to work is that a gas or heat-bearing particle is produced [ or simply released ] when you turn the knob on the back - One that specifically reacts with Manganese. A chemical reaction would occur between this gas and the Manganese and an immense amount of energy would be released at a slow enough pace to prevent explosive decompression. This would heat the new substance that was created which, hopefully, would require only a [ relatively ] low temperature for vaporization. Anyway, being my favorite Object with a known ability, I'd like to focus on The Glasses. Oxidation is so simple - It's basically either rusting, rotting or combusting - That I've never really spent much time on it. Obviously, to prevent anything from combusting you need to get rid of one of the three necessary ingredients for fire; Fuel, energy or Oxygen. Since the idea is that something may already be on fire and then have the flames extinguished, 'fuel' is not an option. Therefore, we must either prevent matter from gaining energy or prevent matter from forming bonds with Oxygen without halting breath. There is such a thing as a gaseous antioxidant, but this is primarily used as a medical alternative because it prevents cellular respiration, which is exactly what we do not want. Anyone have a solution? nondisclosed_email@example.com (ThyWhoDevourstheSoulsofMen)Sat, 19 Oct 2013 13:38:08 +0000 Re: The Theoretical Creation of Real Objectshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22045,from=rss#post22045https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22045,from=rss#post22045I think we would need a theoretical physicist, like Sheldon Cooper or someone with Ph.D in quantum physics to even guesswork how the clock sublimates brass. What comes to the glasses, we just do not have enough data to know it does not prevent other oxidation, although it does not prevent breathing. The string theory has been very popular amongst us, perhaps it all is happening in the parallel dimension, somehow distracting the strings that transfer all physical forces, making they behave oddly. Who knows.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cattrina)Wed, 16 Oct 2013 01:21:25 +0000 Re: The Theoretical Creation of Real Objectshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22043,from=rss#post22043https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p22043,from=rss#post22043quote:Anyone else interested? I already have some good ideas. I will simply say I've done an experiment or two in altering reality by willpower alone. I do this in private, and do not tell people when I have positive results. There may be a day when I take the $50,000 paranormal challenge or even the $1,000,000 challenge. You guys will be the first to know if I ever feel what I can do might get me a boatload of money. Free advice : It doesn't hurt to try. All kinds, really. [ Except geological science. Had a crappy teacher in the sixth grade. ] Before I was in Middle School I had spent a considerable number of hours in the kitchen, mixing household products and hoping for some reaction - For the liquids to boil with no heat source, to change color[ We all know about the trick with the purple cabbage, right? ], for something to explode or solidify or open a wormhole into another dimension. Okay, I admit, mixing vinegar and bleach and vanilla extract is not likely to have such an effect, but I had fun in my attempts to find something that would. I was about eight or nine when I first saw The Lost Room, and [ once I had been thoroughly introduced to the works of Einstein, Austin Flint Rogers and Richard J Gott ] I was immediately struck with that same curiosity and excitement that I, all those years before[ well, two, really ], had felt sitting in the kitchen and hoping that Balsamic vinegar would make Corn Starch explode in the microwave. I grabbed an empty notebook out of the stack I always had around, my laptop, and a pencil, and began researching, theorizing. These things were possible, I knew it. Well, unfortunately, my inevitable return to school arrived all too early, and the project was postponed. It's something I sometimes still like to think about, though, how a clock could sublimate Maganese or how a pair of glasses could prevent combustion without preventing other forms of oxidization. Anyways, I would love to begin this project, again. Theorize with me about how these things could occur. Perhaps, eventually, we could recreate some of the objects from the show and profit from this. Anyone else interested? I already have some good ideas. nondisclosed_email@example.com (ThyWhoDevourstheSoulsofMen)Mon, 14 Oct 2013 19:06:35 +0000
