Re: 3D Printer

I've been looking at a RepRap on Ebay.

There is freeware 3d software you can get.

But to truly get the most out of your 3D printer, you need a 3D scanner. A 3D scanner can create the 3D image in the software from an actual object that is necessary to send to the 3D printer.

Instant copy.
(ha ha...instant. More like a couple hours, but you get the point.)

I hereby claim all 3D modeled props to be named after the owner of the printer and by the designer of the model

There's even one on Ebay that is almost entirely made of plastic with about 70 percent of the replacement pieces actually being able to be manufactured by the device itself.

Re: 3D Printer

mr hands said use the plastic Y rod parts
well no plastic ---- there wood.
we bolted the table to Y rods
then notice the machine screws banging
into the tire wraps that held the bearing down

First solution in project: use washers to raise
bolt to clear tire wraps. Get point for that one

Tomorrow we go: Z assembly

Image

You may note the belt is just a straight run threaded
back through the wood block.
