The background is supposed to be fuzzy. It is in the original. But yes, the boy lost some of his sharpness.

I take this to just be the imprecision of the medium. Printing an image on soap is never going to be as sharp as printing on paper.

Ah. okay. I am using the camera's power. Instead of taking a picture, it has the power to IMPRINT a picture onto any surface.
