Re: Tom's Collection

Just when to check the Bulova
I keep it in the top draw in a
read glasses hard shell case.
The lights were all out in the
bedroom. So I shine my trusty
LED light into the draw, open
the box and then pointed the
light away.

The hands on the watch
started glowing. woooohh!

Re: Tom's Collection

Just before the second TV got delivered I had an operation that made lifted stuff heaver then a pencil problematic. So I didn't open the box to see what I had. After a time it got buried in storage. Finally this week i took the time to remove all the peanuts and take a look.

Sad news and happy news. The knob are spot on, sad steel centers not brass, and further rusted. Workable. The left tuning knob shaft totally bent and wobbling. Panel between the knob has a metal plate, How many of these model variation are there for the 13t17. Have seen a least five for that model, drive you crazy.

Good new picture tube looks good and the edge of the front has the good paint so i good something to match color too. The case its self is the right size and could be used to make a mold from, a thought. I also now have
a extra rocket fin tuning knob.

A new good purchase.

The damage wasn't described by the seller?

But as long as you count it a good purchase, it's all good.
