Re: new to The Motel Room
It is my strong belief that this key is the key that our neissen 612a is the duplicated to. Been looking for this one for over a year. The closer I get the closer I get.

Re: new to The Motel Room
Got the Eagle for the 610 and the 612a
Got ILCO KEIL and BRADFORD for the 612a
My Dexters
And My 612a, but not the right year for the 612a
Be very carefully what you ask for: as in I wanted a Niessen 612a. Now I want a Niessen 612a from the 1950s

Ultimately, for me to make a proper Niessen 612A, I will need to make copies of Chuck's key.

Re: new to The Motel Room
Some just plan odd stuff:
The Clock
It seems Phinney Walker farmed all their clock making out to the Germans, Japanese, and Connecticut clock making companies. Our clock was made in Waterbury, CON. by the Lux Clock company. I found one of their clocks build in1935 with the circular hour and minute hands
and one from 1951 [will post photos]
Now the Neissen 612A is a dup key made to work on
an Eagle Lock. manufactured in Terrryville, CON.
Waterbury is the next town due south of Terryville no
more that 10 miles.
Just a little bit of Lost Room constructiveness.
Its sort of like the manufactures of the Key top, the
Key bottom, and suitcase all lived in San Francisco
at the same time.

Re: new to The Motel Room
It seems the 612 and the 612A have the same
channel pattern, just rotated and mirrored.
bottom image is overlay of both patterns
from the Niessen Catalog.
Not of much important, just interesting

yes, the grooves are on the wrong side, and therefore the very bottom of the key is also short and long on the wrong sides.
I will look into it as a possibility though.

Re: new to The Motel Room
The watched arrived, from England
TOTALLY MINT This watch has never
seen the light of day. It is beautiful
Will post images.
Won the key auction so now I have
a Neissen 610 and a possible mis-numbered
612.
got a new clock face which it very clean
and the green glow in the dark number
and hand are less corroded

Re: new to The Motel Room
Sweet fancy moses I've been away for a while. Good to see that everyone is still keeping the faith!
Happy post-Eventmas and some updates. I now have a Paulian pair of Scissors and managed to get a Paulian Joker and Redi-Slip box with tax stamp (not together of course but with the magic of crazy glue they are now).
Glad to see that Tom is still out to rebuild the motel and end the world.
