Re: *** Wallet Order List ***

I hate to go to this line of reasoning, but I think we might want to look into 3rd world possibilities. My photographer instructor from college went to Bali yearly to purchase wood craved masks. At the time many of those carvers were working at a dollar a day. Of course this was many years ago, but it still might be worst looking into.

the show one looks red

The Sood image (left) looks brown sky/brown ground.

The other looks a reddish brown. If they are the same wallet, it cannot be red. The light is clearly much different in the two pics, but it must be SOME shade of brown for both pics to be the same wallet. If we do the wallet like the prop, it is nearly monotone. With the rocks being a blackish color that would be hard to pull off.

Ultimately, the person must take some creative license.

Jin, we know the sood images were intentionally colored blue. If one corrects the table color back to white, we get something quite reddish for the wallet. Also the show was filtered through different colors. Jess told us that, remember?

Okay, if we're saying the picture on the right is what we're trying for, then here's some samples.

(Red) (Brown) (Red 50/brown 50) (Red 75/brown 25)

The last one looks pretty close.

all of us have different color settings on our monitors, but I am pretty sure 50/50 would be the correct ratio

I did leather craft when I was younger.

I engraved this image on a scrap piece of leather. It wasn't quite big enough for half the wallet, but I think it turned out nice.

If I ordered some items I could probably do these wallets myself.

The dye job will be the hard part. I will consulting you guys for direction.

The other guy used heavy black dye to give details to the picture. If I'm going almost monotone red/brown it's going to be hard to show detail without doing the same.

I have to order the dye and some other stuff, so this is a work in progress.
