Re: The Transistor Radio
Actually, I have changed my mind. I am going to pass on this radio. It occurs to me that I am in no hurry. I will wait for one that is just right.
I placed only a minimum bid, and was automatically outbid.

Re: The Transistor Radio
Possibly. Also, you could use the cord to strangle people and it would never break.
But that raises the usual specter of taking objects apart. Why couldn’t you unscrew the clock face from the clock and have fourteen objects (the mechanism, the case, four screws, four nuts, and four washers). Why couldn’t you take the band off the watch? Are the flask and its cap two separate objects?

I forget who said it but they said, Dismantling equals destruction.
Also, when talking about the door with Iggy in the police station, half of the door is used to access Room 10 and the other half would appear "STUCK" and would not open.
The object might simply NOT come apart anywhere but inside Room 10.

Re: The Transistor Radio
Nice!
Referring back to the subject taking things apart, I've always seen some objects as being "colony" objects, where they consist of a natural grouping of component parts, like the radio, or the pack of cards, the cigarettes, the bed and so on. Taking things apart with tools would in my view go a second stage further. You have to question would each part have a power, then again the tap water is a whole object in the room but as you take some are you destroying the original whole object or is it an object of many many parts, namely a grouping of water molecules that can be grouped in amounts as you want?

The twisted wire earphone would be an excellent touch.
