The cine camera, is it something owned by the Conroy's or another room object? Kind of find it strange it being on the table with the other objects, it's not like we see any photos of any of the Collectors using it during the party. Then again, Eddies seems to own a lot of up to the moment gadgets, instant camera, transistor radio, folding binoculars and so on, don't see why he shouldn't have a cine camera too. Maybe another question for Chris to clear up.

I am most convinced the diner pics were taken few hours before the Conroy Experiment... so the cine cam is there waiting to be used shortly

EDIT: Later on I checked the local weather broadcasts and came to the conclution the climate is so cold during winter the Collectors would have had warmer clothing on doing the Experiment. So it must have done on summer.

Transcription from episode 4

Joe and Jennifer visit Gus the first time. Gus tells them:

"by 66 we had almost all Objects, but when I gave her the Watchbox, everything went wrong"

I think the Watchbox was not meant to be used on the Experiment

quote:

GUS:

We just ran the motel, that's all. Arlene managed it, I was the janitor. It was just a regular place. It's not like something happened. It's like afterward, we figured something must've happened.

The motei only has nine rooms, right? Except, one day Arlene finds the key to Room 10. We tried the key and...

well, I suppose you know what we saw. There were still a few objects inside. I didn't want any of it.

But Arlene got this look in her eye. She wanted to get all the objects back. She got some of our friends involved. Pretty soon, we were this group...

JOE: The Collectors.

GUS: By '66, we had found almost all the objects. And since there wasn't a Room 10, Arlene started experimenting in Room 9.

And finally she found the watch box. And that's when everything went wrong.

JOE: What do you mean "went wrong"?

GUS: It's easier if I show you. This is a copy. The original was stolen years ago.

(Gus plays the Conroy Experiment footage)

JOE: She looks the same. God, she looks exactly the same.

GUS: Arlene had been looking for
the five objects for years. She said with the right combination, she could open the door the right way.

I think she was insane by then.

Then I gave her the watch box. And everything went bad.
She opened the door, and it was like... like she opened a tear in reality.

JENNIFER: What the hell is happening?

JOE: Gus, was this film spliced together?

GUS: No. It's one continuous piece of film.

Arlene sacrificed herself to end it. I saw Arlene a few months later, at the motel. Just for a few seconds.

She begged me to help her.I couldn't. I didn't know how.

I got rid of the key, and... I never went back.

What would be a good size to print these pictures up in, and should I go color or black and white?

definately black & white....as for size you can look at all the pics on The Sood's office and the diner and make a rough guess...the size is not critical.

If you look close enough, next to the clock i see the transistor radio. You can also see it in a few of the other Collectors pictures.

hmmm I just noticed:

Image

if you look the background, it is clearly the exactly same window... so the people have relocated around the table.

Image

So, people and items are not located in same positions on both images, so I guess this suggests a time-pass...

which means the Objects are not located on same positions in all pics...

This is obviously not thought throgh, as people usually are very territorial and stick to one seat throughout entire evening... especially if they eat there

That is correct Cattrina! There is only one window. Here is a shot of the same location taken a few weeks ago when I was working in the same studio on "In Plain Sight"

Image

If I recall correctly, the set photographer was moving cast around for variation shots and not the least bit worried about continuity!!!!
