posticon The Shoes

Ok...lets start this quest for The Shoes.

Here is what we know...they are black, possibly Oxfords and they have distinctive curved stitching running from the top to the bottom.....and they have a raised section on the heel from top to bottom

Image

here you can see the raised strip on the heel:

These are a tough find.....they have an italian style to them...and I doubt they are vintage....more than likey they got these at a shoe outlet when buying props for the show.....my guess is that they are or were available during the shoot for LTR.

I have spent hundreds of hours looking for them and it's time for fresh eyes.....sometimes a different perspective is needed.

Re: The Shoes

Two things that might help the search.

1) The white interior is unusual. It might be a hint for a specific brand. Most interiors on dress shoes I'm familiar with have an orange interior.

2) There seems to be some sort of writing on the shoe from picture one. It can't be made out in that picture, but there might be a better screen cap available...maybe on a Blue Ray/HDDVD disc?

I don't think brown on black would have much effect as black on brown would.

Re: The Shoes

very, very close ....but the 2 sets of curved downturned stitching makes it a no-go...the stitching closest to the laces works....the other makes it not show correct.

Image

it matches perfectly except for that.

Re: The Shoes

I thought so. I was at the bass shop today and I saw them, and was tempted to buy them, but I had to confirm if they were correct. Ahhhh, back to the hunt!
