And how perfect the era was for the objects. I took this time to state “It would be awesome if when you open ‘The Bible’ it caused it to rain in China.” And Laura instantly shot up and said “that’s actually very similar to an object that we have created. But that sounds like a cool idea we should ad that to our list” I had to obviously try to inquire about this thought and said “I figured the reason why there is dormant objects out there is because there must be an effect that is maybe out of the users field of perception” Chris replied “Yes there are some objects that have effects that are far away. Like it could be when you use a particular object it makes the closest water source bubble.” I remarked “That’s cool that there are objects like that”. The conversation continued and I popped the question “If and when a series is continued where were you thinking of picking up the story?” Chris looked at Laura and asked her if she thinks its ok to tell she nods and Chris replies “We were going to pick up the story with the next person that picks up the key. And the story was going to be following them” I remarked “oh really? Are you going to go into any back story at all or will it just be all present situations” Chris and Laura replied “ Well we feel that there will have to be some time were we will have to explain the Cabal wars and some more history” I thought it would be nice to get some history and asked about the occupant and would they like to go into what happened with him when he got out of the motel. And they said “Well the occupant is not all knowing but does know quite a bit” and I inserted “well he had the opportunities to find out what some objects did without effecting himself” and they replied “yes so he knows quite a bit about the objects but not even he knows everything” feeling the conversation avoiding the immediate time that the occupant got out of the motel I asked about the 1962 Almanac. And my question was being subtly avoided. Well next we went into any news about continuing “The Lost Room” series and Laura said “Well we have been really busy working on projects, we have some comic books we are trying to get out that me and Chris are working on, but we are trying to see if we can get a comic book series for the lost room out for everyone. Chris says “We are hoping that once we get some of this work out of the way we might be able to work on a The lost Room Comic.” I asked “were you thinking about doing a novel or what is up with that. Laura Replied “Well we have been just so busy that I don’t think we could get together and write a whole novel any time soon, so to get something out sooner we realized we could do that quicker with a comic book series.” Chris Added “We would like to do whatever we can and believe LionsGate will let us Work on this as a comic since we are doing all the publishing. We would really like to get something out for you all. And I don’t really prefer a book over a comic or reverse. I feel it would be nice to do what we can to get something out for you all.” We went onto people collecting props as fans and he stated that he had the key and some pens. When I heard Chris had one of te key’s I flipped out. But I asked him if I could get a scan and picture of any of the original props that they have between Chris, Paul, And Laura. quote:Ghinius Sahalin wrote: I said “As you know I really loved the show and me and others have been watching it frame by frame at some points. But I hate to say it but the DVD’s Quality is horrible, but it’s the only version of the show we have.” And Chris replied “Ya we were disappointed that LionsGate did not keep up with the quality of the DVD.” Laura added “Yes, We even sent in a letter to LionsGate telling them about it but never heard anything back.” Well after asking about that I asked “was there any scenes that were missing from the DVD like we have heard about that umbrella footage that was shot and didn’t make it. Because the DVD didn’t have many special features on it and was wondering if there was something we all have missed out on?” Chris said “Well we were able to get most of all that we wanted in the show I can’t really think of anything that really didn’t make it in. Laura is there something you can think about?” Laura Answered “Well there was that one scene right between when Joe talks to Anna about going to the doctors and arriving at the hospital. We filmed a short segment were you get to see Joes wife Rebbeca talking to Joe and saying ‘She is my daughter too, I have every right to see her. Wont you let me see my daughter’ we had a good actor too but the segment was cut out.”  I shocked said “ Wow… Because really Joes wife is only talked about once in the show and I was wondering if there was anything that played on that.” I asked about the creation of the idea of the lost room and who came up with powers and what not for the objects Chris Replied “Me, Laura, and Paul all came together and would come forth with our own ideas. But Paul would always think of the most off the wall idea’s. We once thinking about ‘The Newspaper’ and Paul came up and said the newspaper would close up when a certain tone is played and open up when a different certain tone was played. When I first heard the idea I thought it was random but Paul even thought about possible uses for this. Paul said that you could use the newspaper to lock a door with it and not be able to destroy the newspaper lock.” Chris Continued saying “Myself I normally came up with more scientific based objects effects that were more grounded in science and very mechanical in how they work.” I asked ‘Like the Watch box how it dampens entropy in a limited radius?” and Chris Answered “Yes I believe that was one of mine, I also think the watch was my idea as well.” nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cattrina)Tue, 19 Jan 2010 16:17:46 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewshttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p14779,from=rss#post14779https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p14779,from=rss#post14779 Comic Con 2009 Ghinius: Now... I do not know if you will be telling us this, but what happens if you like jump out The Window? Chris: -Uh, I quess you can't (laughter in background) it's a... Ghinius: Did you guys have something originally planned for that at all, or...? Laura: we discussed it... Chris: -We discussed, like what would happen, but basicly the window would be indestructible, so... Ghinius:But there are sliding windows in the bathroom and in the sideroom! Chris: -Yeah, but if you...you couldn't...yeah, well then. Laura: yeah, just because they slide does not mean they are not indestuctable... Chris: -But, you are right, I mean just ´cause you can still slide an indestructible thing Laura: Oh!...to open it and just jump out and...I see... Chris: -Right,right... but...Yeah but... but you can't...or like you... I mean... If you could, you would not want to. (laughter) Chris: -Yes, so... I also actually wanted to show what would happen if you shot a bullet in the room... just because ...  ehm...yeah we'll do that at some point, if we get to do any moore Lost Room... but... Ghinius:...we'd be very excited... Laura: Something to look forward to. Chris: -(really hard to tell what they are saying) One point we decided to... We didn't really explore if the room itself is indestructable or not... and I always felt that it was...you know, and so in one point to (have) Joe to shoot at the window and have the bullet (a break out the ?) around the Room, you know, just hitting the indestructible walls, you know... but it always seemed kinda one step that... nah it just never made it in the show Ghinius: Yeah I can see how it would be something that would not make it in Chris: -Yeah it might be a little silly you know... Ghinius: ...to do that in that point would, you know would ruin the point ´cause you know we see while in the Room the Objects stop working... (really hard to tell what he is saying) ... it almost seems like everything becomes normal when they go in there. And you know, Eddie comes in and he also feels normal and he feels like he's ´right... the fort (???) Webber has been haunting 's kinda stopped the Objects can be taken apart... you know, that is the only place you can destroy them. Chris: -That's true. Well One thing I was wondering about was like... ehm... you know, is outside the Room... ...if there's nothing... if that Room... if only that Room exists, then, you know, anything that is on the edge would be indestructible or infinite, you know what I mean... Ghinius: -Yeah Chris: ...so you can not assume... so for instance even if the front plaster was breakable, you know what I mean, BEHIND the plaster would not be. You know, you might be able to do a little damage, but... I do not know... Some of those things are like... we always thought, like... Any rule that was not totally established... Ghinius: -It´s sometimes too complicated to go with all the scenarios. Chris: -Well, yeah, and also we always felt like if we hadn't established a rule, we always felt like that until we actually explored it, it was still open, you know. So ANYTHING I am saying... I can reverse myself, ironically, right like that, you know. Ghinius:- Go on and dig yourself hop a hole and concrete over it Chris: -Yeah, exactly... well I mean at some point I was (in the net?), but it was like 'hey, if it´s not in the show, then..." Ghinius: ... that is not set yet. Chris: -yeah, well this is my thinking today. One thing I should clarify is once you are in the Room it is like... ehm you knoe, there is certain amount... ehm ... how am I gonna say this.... "The Room is it´s own reality and the Objects in that are kinda restored to that, you know, but they may have certain indestructable qualities." But never avoid it, like (Cattrina's note: I am not certain if this following sentence is accurate) 'who's the actor(??) in there, since the Key's back in', you know... the one little boy... Ghinius: ... He's gotta restore back to Kreuzfield(?) Chris & Laura: -Right, yeah Laura: Yeah that is what he has the clarity(?!) in the Room and can talk to Joe in the Room, in a way that he can't out the institution (I suspect Laura is talking about Eddie) Chris: So it is definately Special, like the Objects do not work there anymore. Ok, well, so they are restored to their... ...just for the Rules, I always felt like, well if they were completally breakable in there, then,  you'd be like "Yei, I just gonna brake the Pencil and have two Objects', right? Ghinius: -Yeah Chris: ... I´d be like 'thank you very much' occupant' s willpower would not make much difference then... The Hammer would give away Object 'ness (specifics(??)) if it wanted to, but it can't... cause it's a hammer, you know Ghinius: -There's a Hammer?? Chris: The real aswer ... oh, shit! We can not explain the how... I just acted without planning the thing... oh, well, 'here I go' nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cattrina)Wed, 06 Jan 2010 12:21:20 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewhttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13364,from=rss#post13364https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13364,from=rss#post13364"The Room is it´s own reality and the Objects in that are kinda restored to that but they may have certain indestructable qualities" That´s... like deep, man! *laughs* Really difficult to listen the audio... english is not my first lang, so had to write myself a little piece of transcription... still few places I could not get a single idea what they were saying.... The new time line would not, of course, explain the metaphysical properties of the objects. Rather, whatever caused the dimensional/time shift would also be responsible for the objects' powers. There's really no way to say for sure whether or not a time fork would affect our perception of the past. As I understand it, it's all speculation since our "knowledge" is theoretical (remember, though, that I am a layman and do not understand astrophysics or Einstein in any depth!). Apparently, in the Lost Room universe, such shifts do alter reality--not only the reality of the present and future, but of the past as well (since past, present, and future are all parts of one single line). Hence, Eddie's wife does not remember him, and the janitor's fingerprint is on the non-existent mirror. These would have been interesting questions to bring to Chris L. and friends. nondisclosed_email@example.com (WRM)Thu, 01 Oct 2009 14:33:06 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewhttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13338,from=rss#post13338https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13338,from=rss#post13338A new timeline would not explain the strange powers objects have or the many rooms Eddie refers to. Alternate realities with alternate laws of physics do. Also forking time only happens from the point of the fork and not retrospective into the past. Both halves of the fork would share a common past before the event, where things would still exist or not according to the original default timeline. So either way they'd remember the past no matter which timeline they're in. The motel postcards would show room 10 in both timelines as they were printed before the event/fork if that were the case. That's another question the motel postcard in Eddie's room how many rooms are depicted on it, 9 or 10. If he's in room 10 then surely his postcard should show 10 rooms rather than 9.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rollerball)Thu, 01 Oct 2009 06:26:30 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewhttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13307,from=rss#post13307https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13307,from=rss#post13307quote:WRM wrote: @roller-- I think the Room 10 only seemed to not exist to the original Collectors because the Event split time into a fork. That lost timeline is in another dimension--still "real," but not to us. So, no--the hammer and fingerprint could very well have been there for the Event. this is what i understood just from watching the show. gus WAS in the room, but cant remember after the event because it skewed into an alternate time line, much like Back to the future Pt 2 to quote doc Brown " alternate to you, me, and Einstein, but reality to everybody else." nondisclosed_email@example.com (markanthonyramsay)Tue, 29 Sep 2009 13:08:36 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewhttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13306,from=rss#post13306https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13306,from=rss#post13306@roller-- I think the Room 10 only seemed to not exist to the original Collectors because the Event split time into a fork. Then again this raises the question how could the fingerprint and the tools exist in a room, that didn't exist in this reality before the event and the key appearing in the motel office one day. Room 10 doesn't really exist here, but the key allows you to go there. The Conroys couldn't have had access to it until after it first appeared, post event and post object creation. That only leaves that the tools and the fingerprint result from object destruction experiments, either intentionally or accidentally. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rollerball)Tue, 29 Sep 2009 07:37:21 +0000 Re: Comic-Con 2009 interviewhttps://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13287,from=rss#post13287https://bthecollectors.runboard.com/p13287,from=rss#post13287I'm glad we have an answer about the room its self how it its self is indistrucable. and about the window and if you could go out of it. also how only because eddie had a will he could be killed and his power/objectness passed on.
