Re: new to The Motel Room
Wally said that he and Joe didn't meet by chance. The objects attract each other. And the room is an object.
Therefore, all objects want to get back together in the room. That's not even speculation, that's just the nature of the objects.

Re: new to The Motel Room
The speculative part of the question is why do the objects need to be in the room? I put forth the possibility that the object sense the wrongness of their location.

Re: new to The Motel Room
Been a good week
glasses and the TV.
Still on the hunt.
I should turn my energy to finding the coat
It is a maddening enterprise to say the least.
The last show object is the suitcase
maybe this year maybe the next.
Projects: the newspaper.
and putting the watch together

It was a total flash back to my youth
watch the set warm up.
and the single dot that fade away
good the thing didn't implode.

Re: new to The Motel Room
My Grandma had a little B&W set from the 60's in her spare room when I was a kid. I had color at home, but watched B&W when I went there.

Re: new to The Motel Room
good few months
the bible
the suitcase
the watch
all show quality
need to post photos
today tried to explain what its like to collect
this things and why. Met with distant smiles
and marked confusion. Thinking it might be
fun to do a panel discussion at Bay Con,
bring out some of the ez-er to transport
object.
sets are sitting in different areas of the house
I just don't have the strength to move them around
should get a two wheeler.

Re: new to The Motel Room
You cannot explain object collecting to the infidel.
It has taught me a lot about vintage collectibles. That is how I justify it to unbelievers.

Re: new to The Motel Room
I have two Eagle catalogs
one from 1936 and one from 1950
The 1950 catalog has no four flute key blanks
the 1936 has two 1022 and 1014 (pattern closer to 612a)
I never noted that in the index the 1000s keys
were all listed as Cabinet keys. Don't how I
missed that. So our key was a dup to open
a cabinet built between 1899 and sometime
in the 1940s ( don't have that catalogs between
#52 and # 56 )
sad. no padlocks. looking for furniture. oh hell
